Terms of use

These terms govern therecio.com and anything you send us through it. Access to the Recio interview platform is granted separately, under a written agreement.

In short

  • These terms cover this website and what you send us through it — not the Recio interview platform, which runs under a separate written agreement.
  • Recio is pre-launch. What you read here describes a product still being built; it is not a commitment, a quote, or an offer.
  • Please do not send confidential material through our forms until we have an agreement in place.
  • Recio is not incorporated yet. It is operated by its founders while an Indian private limited company is formed.

This summary is here to orient you. It is not a substitute for the full text below, which is what actually applies.

1Who we are

Recio is an AI technical-interview platform. It runs role-specific, adaptive interviews with hands-on labs and returns an evidence-backed report on each candidate, so that a hiring team can decide on evidence rather than on a résumé.

Recio is an early-stage venture currently operated by its founders. We are incorporating as a private limited company in India; once that is complete, these terms and this policy apply to that company, and we will update this page to name it.

This website, therecio.com, is operated by Recio. You can reach us at contact@therecio.com.

2What these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of therecio.com and to anything you send us through it — the waitlist, the contact form, and the design-partner application.

They do not govern use of the Recio interview platform itself. Platform access is granted to an employer under a separate written agreement, and a candidate invited to an interview is given a specific notice before the interview begins. Where a signed agreement and these terms disagree about the platform, the signed agreement applies.

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

3Who may use this site

This site is aimed at employers, hiring teams, and candidates who have been invited to an interview. You should be old enough to enter into a contract in your country before you send us anything.

If you submit a form on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that the organisation accepts these terms.

4Acceptable use

You are welcome to read, link to, and quote this site. Please do not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, our infrastructure, or any account, or probe or scan it for weaknesses
  • interfere with the site or place an unreasonable load on it
  • submit information you know to be false, or another person’s personal data without their permission
  • use our forms to send unsolicited marketing, malware, or anything unlawful
  • copy the site’s design or a substantial part of its content for your own product or marketing
  • misrepresent an affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from Recio

Automated access is fine when it is well behaved: respect robots.txt, identify yourself honestly, and do not degrade the service for anyone else. We publish an llms.txt precisely so that automated readers can get an accurate summary of what Recio is without scraping the whole site.

If you believe you have found a security issue, please tell us before telling anyone else. We will work with you in good faith and will not pursue researchers who report in good faith and do not access or destroy other people’s data.

5What you send us

When you join the waitlist, write to us, or apply to the design-partner programme, you are asking us to get in touch. Please keep what you tell us accurate, and let us know if it changes. How we handle that information is set out in our privacy policy.

Please treat anything you send through these forms as non-confidential. Until a written agreement or NDA is in place, we cannot accept confidential information. If you want to discuss something sensitive, say so and we will put an agreement in place first.

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Recio, we may use them to improve the product without any obligation to you and without any restriction. This does not give us rights to anything you already own, and it does not change the confidentiality position above.

A place on the waitlist is not a promise of access, a price, or a delivery date.

6Pre-launch status

Recio is pre-launch and is onboarding design partners. It is not yet generally available.

This site describes the product as it is being built, including capability that is designed but not yet live. Those descriptions are not commitments. Features, scope, availability, timelines, and pricing can all change, and some of what is described may not ship in the form described.

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, a quote, or a binding commercial proposal. Commercial terms only exist once both sides sign something.

We may change, suspend, or withdraw the site or any part of it at any time, and we do not guarantee that it will always be available.

7Intellectual property

The site and its content — text, layout, design, code, graphics, and the Recio name and wordmark — belong to Recio or are used with permission. We are not granting you any rights in them beyond reading and sharing the site as it is published.

You may quote a reasonable extract with attribution and a link. Please do not reproduce substantial parts of the site, reuse its design, or use our name or marks in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product.

Third-party names, logos, and marks that appear on the site belong to their owners, and mentioning a product or company does not imply any affiliation or endorsement in either direction. NVIDIA and the NVIDIA logo are trademarks of NVIDIA Corporation.

8Third-party services and links

We use third-party providers to run this site — hosting, database, transactional email, bot protection, analytics, and content delivery. They are listed by name in our privacy policy, along with what each of them handles.

The site may link to other websites. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you get there.

9No warranties

This site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and representations that are not expressly set out here.

We take care over what we publish, but we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its content is complete, current, or free of mistakes.

Nothing on this site is legal, compliance, or employment advice. Hiring decisions, and compliance with the employment, equality, and data-protection law that applies to them, remain the responsibility of the employer making the decision.

10Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity, or data, arising out of your use of this site or your reliance on anything published on it.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

These limits apply to the website. Liability under a signed platform agreement is dealt with in that agreement.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the company change — incorporation, in particular, will mean naming the new entity here.

The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. If a change is significant, we will make that clear rather than quietly editing the page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site, are governed by the laws of India.

You and we agree that the competent courts of India have jurisdiction over any such dispute. Once Recio is incorporated, these terms apply to the incorporated company and the forum will be stated by reference to its registered office.

If something goes wrong, please write to us at contact@therecio.com first. Most things are quicker to fix by email than by anything else.
